I must say that I jump the fence back and forth depending on where the current chip set is when I am building a new computer. See I am looking for ROI, I want to be able to upgrade my machine without having to rebuild the entire thing. So I would go with a new Intel if they just changed chipset models or AMD if they just changed theirs this way I am assured that I will atleast get a couple CPU upgrades before the next chipset implementation.
Now, with that being said being from both sides of the fence and doing more than just gaming such as graphic design, programming, 3d animation. My AMDs have always out performed and I have always been all around happier with AMD.
